Enjoy the magnificent views of rocky cliffs and tree covered mountains! Hike to the top of those cliffs and find out why we call this state the Big Sky. The night sky is alive with color and the milky way is vibrant.

Absorb the sounds of silence as you read a book or take a walk. Though neighbors are around, the area is calm and peaceful.

Off-The-Grid

Alternatively powered and environmentally friendly

Our cabin is off-the-grid meaning, it isn't powered by a utility company. Our cabin is powered by 5 large solar panels and a wind turbine, which provide power for all the lights, refrigerator, microwave and other ammenities. Stay in our cabin, knowing you are doing the environment a favor!

Practically speaking, the cabin sleeps 5. One large queen-size bed upstairs, a full pullout downstairs and a single pullout downstairs. Floor sleeping bags are welcome and the porch is usually free at night.

Country Living

Our facilities are environmentally friendly, including bathroom facilities that are located outside the main cabin, in a separate building, where we use a compost toilet. The compost collected from the toilet is used onsite in our greenhouse as fertilizer. Also in the 'garage' is a shower and laundry facilities.

Don't worry about the phone ringing during dinner, because there isn't one. While on the subject don't be bombarded by TV advertisements and news, because the TV is on demand. If you want to watch something, you'll have to bring the DVD's or VCR tapes yourselves (TV, DVD, and VCR provided). Enjoy your vacation without the digital distractions!

Rock Creek is a short walk away. After stepping out the door you can be fishing within a few minutes. FISH ON!
